Karen has lived in Northern Virginia for over 30 years, and has been in real estate since 1988.  She graduated from Virginia Polytechnic and State University (Virginia Tech) in 1993 with a degree in Marketing Management and Communications.  Karen had an extremely successful career in the technology industry for over 10 years before deciding to dedicate herself to real estate full time.  Karen is an NVAR Top Producer, a member of the Long and Foster Founders Club and has both her GRI (Graduate Real Estate Institute) and ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) designations.

Ashley joined the Karen Brown Team in 2006 from Brookfield Homes. In 2007 Karen Brown & The Nilsen Team merged together. Ashley became devoted to the marketing aspect of the business. From designing team marketing material to placing ads for your home in the local papers, she does it all! Ashley will always look after your best interest when advertising your Property. Along with marketing, Ashley also manages the day to day activities of the business.
